Ware is a skilled, right-handed, BIG that improved as a defense stretcher. He averaged 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots per game. He shot 42.5% from three-point range on medium-to-low volume (17 of 40). Ware's free throw percentage of 66% (career) is probably a better indicator of his overall shooting ability. His feel for the game is just okay. He had two more turnovers than assists this season. His DEFRTG was 5.9 points better than the Hoosiers' team DEFRTG due in large part to his prowess on the defensive glass. He led the Big Ten in DEF REB%. Ware was named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team. In our opinion, his body language may be the reason some scouts seem less enthused about him as a prospect. Ware often looked unenthused. We believe he is skilled enough to help a team, and he has the potential to ultimately be an NBA top-tier starter.  see video

Our best advice: in 2020, the 7th pick was Killian Hayes. We advised, "draft Tyrese Haliburton."
