Aldama is a right-handed stretch-four that was dominant at times while playing for Loyola (MD.). Aldama averaged 21.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 2020-21. He shot the three-ball at 36.8% and he made 68.6% of his foul shots. Aldama is a scorer but he also showed a willingness and ability to play effective defense. His team's DEFRTG was 5.2 points better when Aldama was in the game. He is a strong defensive rebounder. ...On the downside, he had more turnovers than assists. ...We are not certain that Aldama will be drafted. We think he absolutely deserves a long look, and we would not be surprised if he is a starter in the NBA at some point of his career.
Our best advice: in 2003, the 46th pick was Sani Becirovic. We advised, "draft Kyle Korver."
