Artis, Jamel Pittsburgh 6'7" 213 SF SR. Artis really impressed us in a February 4th game at Duke. He is a right-handed small forward that improved his field goal percentage with each successive season at Pitt. As a Senior, Artis averaged 18.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He shot 37.8% 3-pt. fg for his career. He is a 75.9% foul shooter (career). ...Defensively, Artis has the length (6'10" wingspan, same as Sam Dekker, and Jaylen Brown) but somehow, Artis' DEFRTG was significantly worse than the Pitt team DEFRTG. Perhaps the answer lies in his below league-standard athleticism. Artis jumped a 31" max. vert (which is same as Caron Butler.) ...Artis is already 24 years-old.
