Bates-Diop, Keita  Ohio St. 6'7" 235 PF SR. Bates-Diop was the 2017-18 Big Ten Player of the Year. He averaged 19.8 points, and 8.7 rebounds per game. He is more of a modern NBA stretch-four at this point of his development than he is a small-forward. We say that because his decision making can be sketchy. He finished his career with slightly more turnovers than assists. ...Bates-Diop carried the Buckeyes at times with ability to score. He shot 35% from 3-pt. range but his real area of expertise is operating at the high-post where he nails 15-19' jump shots with ease. ...He is good on the defensive glass despite giving up size. ...Bates-Diop added value as a defender too. Right-handed. ...He impressed us each time we saw him play. We view him as a second round pick that has a chance to stick and produce.

Good Advice: In 2013, the 43rd pick in the NBA Draft was Ricky Ledo. We advised, "Draft Lorenzo Brown."
