Bey, Saddiq Villanova  6'8" 220 SF soph. Bey is a trustworthy wing player that can shoot with accuracy. He knows how to play. Bey averaged 16.1 points, and 4.7 rebounds per game while connecting on a tremendous 45% (79 of 175) of his three point shots in 2019-20. Right handed. He shot 76.9% FT. He is a threat from outside or in the low post. He cuts well. He is crafty. He uses the "Smitty" hesitation well. ...Bey is a low turnover guy despite not having the greatest ball-handling skill. He has been coached very well. He is sharp as a 'read and react' player. He is willing to share. His assist-to-turnover ratio is 1.62-to-1.  He seems to understand his skill-set. He played 1051 minutes and only had 46 turnovers. ...Defensively, Villanova was actually better with Bey off the floor. His DEFRTG was 2.9 points per 100 possessions worse than the Wildcats' team DEFRTG. ...Bey was named First Team All Big-East in 2019-20. ...I believe Bey will eventually be a NBA starter. I expect him to be one of the safest picks in this Draft. My concerns about him as just an average to below-average defender are the reason he is not ranked higher on our Draft board.

Our best advice: in 2017, the 18th pick was T.J. Leaf. We advised, "draft John Collins."

Our most sketchy advice: in 2008, the 18th pick was JaVale McGee. We advised, "draft Alexis Ajinca."
