Bona stands 6'8" but his wingspan is nearly 7'4". The 21-year-old BIG has explosive leaping ability (40" max. vert.), combined with a physical style of playing (led the Pac-12 in personal fouls). He averaged 12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots per game in 2023-24. Bona doesn't shoot the three ball at all (only one attempt in two college seasons). He did make an improvement at the free throw line as a sophomore, getting up to 69% FT. Bona's feel for the game is below average. He had twice as many turnovers as assists.  What he does best is dunking and playing defense. Right-handed. Defensively, Bona was a big factor for UCLA. His DEFRTG was 5.3 points better than the Bruins' team DEFRTG. He was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. We believe Bona will be drafted in the middle of round two. We view him as a potential low-tier starter at some point in his career but he will have to come a long way with his decision making to hit that ceiling. see video
