Boston, B.J.  Kentucky  6'6" 188 SF frosh.

Boston is a right handed wing that can play SG or SF. He was thought to be an elite prospect coming into his freshman season at Kentucky. However, the 2020-21 campaign did not go as anticipated. Kentucky was terrible, finishing with a 9-16 record, and Boston struggled mightily. He shot 35% FG, (30% 3-pt.), and the Wildcats were better defensively with Boston OFF the floor. ...Boston averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. ...Encouraging aspects of Boston's game include solid free throw shooting at 78.5%, and that he takes care of the ball. He only had 36 turnovers in 759 minutes. Boston has a 6'11" wingspan. ...While it is possible Boston will rebound from 2020-21, his inability to score consistently was concerning enough for us to drop him deep into the second round. We believe a team will likely roll the dice on him late in round one.

Our best advice: in 2014, the 47th pick was Russ Smith. We advised, "draft Thanasis Antetokounmpo."
