Broome is an emotionally fiery but supremely skilled 6'9" forward with a 7'0" wingspan. The left-hander averaged 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds (led SEC), 2.1 blocked shots and 2.9 assists per game. He shot 30.2% 3-pt. FG (career), and 60.3% FT (career). He was the SEC Player of the Year. He has good footwork near the basket and really good hands. His DEFRTG was 5.2 points better than the Auburn team DEFRTG. He has a nose for the ball and knack for being at the right place at the right time. Broome finished 2nd in the entire NCAA in boxscore plus/minus. He is the CAREER leader in SEC boxscore plus/minus. Broome played five NCAA seasons (two at Morehead St, three at Auburn). He showed toughness by playing hurt. People talk about players that check boxes. Broome checks many of the boxes that matter to us. He has a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, he is a plus defender, he blocks shots and rebounds at a high rate, he gets to the foul line often, and he scores at a per minute rate that others could only wish to.  We acknowledge he struggles to shoot. We think the pluses Broome have outweigh the negatives. We anticipate Broome being drafted early-to-mid round two. We think that is way too late.
