Brown, Kendall  Baylor  6'8" 205 SF frosh.

Brown is an athletic, explosive, right handed forward that just turned 19 years-old in May. He averaged 9.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists as a Baylor freshman. At the NBA Draft Combine he jumped a 41" max. vert., good for second best among all participants. He has a 6'11" wingspan. Brown handles the ball reasonably well. He can make plays at NBA speed and figures to only get better. Right handed but uses his left well. Brown did not shoot the ball that accurately (34%) from three-point range this season at Baylor. He made 68.9% of his free throws. What he does do well is score near the basket and in transition. He was 2nd in the Big 12 in 2-pt. FG%. Brown had slightly more assists (63) than turnovers (58). By the numbers, Baylor was better defensively when Brown was off the floor. However, there is no reason he shouldn't be a good defender. He moves well and he should theoretically be able to guard positions 2, 3, and 4. We expect Brown to be selected in the late first round. A team will need to have some patience with him. We believe he has a chance to be good but he needs reps and confidence.

Our best advice: in 2012, the 28th pick was Perry Jones III. We advised, "draft Draymond Green."
