Butler is a 23 year old guard that defends really well. He averaged 11.4 points, 2.9 points, 1.6 steals and 4.3 assists. Butler improved his three-point shooting this season to 39.1%. He made 73.5% of his free throws. Butler's DEFRTG was 2.4 points better than the Kentucky team DEFRTG (that's a big number for a guard). He was the Defensive Player of the Year in the Mountain West Conference in 2023-24. Butler did a lot of winning in his five years of NCAA action. He played on really good San Diego State teams for four seasons before finishing up at Kentucky. We do not foresee Butler being drafted. We like that he doesn't mind contact. He takes charges. We think he has a chance to be a low-tier starter in the NBA in time.
