Buzelis is a work in progress but his flashes show a glimpse of brilliance that seems undeniable. At just 19 years of age he is a jack of all trades that can drive it and defend multiple positions. He showed a knack for shot blocking. He averaged 14 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.7 blocked shots per game in the G-League. Right-handed. His shooting needs work. He made just 26.1% of his three-point attempts, and likewise struggled at the line, making 69.6%. He had more turnovers than assists. We believe he will look better playing with NBA teammates. His DEFRTG was 2.9 points better than the Ignite team DEFRTG. He can handle the ball well for his size, and he is a coast-to-coast threat in transition. He finishes well above the rim (38" max. vert.). Buzelis was a 2023 McDonald's All-American. We think Buzelis will be a top-five pick. We view him as a potential starter in the NBA. How much he improves his shooting accuracy will determine his ceiling. see video

Our best advice: in 2017, the 9th pick was Dennis Smith Jr. We advised, "draft Malik Monk."
