Carter is the son of former NBA point-guard, Anthony Carter. Devin is a fantastic athlete that has skills that are catching up with his gifts as a runner and jumper. Carter averaged 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He was the Big East Player of the Year. Carter improved as a three-point shooter, netting 37% of his attempts in 2023-24. He made 74.9% of his free throws and he did a good job getting to the line (3rd in the Big East in FTA's). Most impressively, his DEFRTG was a full 5.0 points better than the Providence team DEFRTG. Carter had a 1.34-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He is right handed. Carter posted the fastest 3/4 sprint time (2.87 seconds) in the history of the NBA Draft Combine in May 2024. He jumped a 42" max. vert. Carter finished second in Big East, and sixth in the entire NCAA, in boxscore plus/minus. We believe Carter will be taken in the late lottery. We view him as a potential top-tier two-guard in the NBA. He is competitive and he brings it on defense. Carter's 6'2" height doesn't worry us because his wingspan is 6'8.75". Can he prove that he can make NBA three-point shots? (see video)
