Castle is a former McDonald's All-America guard that was a big part of Connecticut's 2024 National Championship team. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Castle shot just 26.7% from NCAA three-point range (20 of 75). He made a solid 75.5% of his foul shots. He had a 1.94-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He has ability to score off the bounce or in the post. He has NBA size from day one. Castle has a 6'9" wingspan and most believe he will be a good defender but Castle's DEFRTG was 3 points worse than the Connecticut team DEFRTG. Castle is right handed. He jumped a 37" max. vert. and showed good speed in the lane agility drill at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. Castle's hand measurements were small by NBA standards. We anticipate Castle being selected in the mid-lottery. While we see the upside, we also have some questions about him shooting it well enough to be a star. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2021, the 12th pick was Josh Primo. We advised, "draft Jalen Johnson."
