Clark, Jaylen

Good news, bad news. Clark was one of our favorite players to watch. He is a right-handed power guard with NBA athleticism. Clark led the Pac-12 in boxscore plus/minus. UCLA was 5.5 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Clark on the floor. He was named Pac-12 and NABC National Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.9 assists per game. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 1.51-to-1. At this point he is a low percentage deep shooter (32.9% 3-PT FG). He shot 69.8% FT. He has a 6'9" wingspan. The bad news is that Clark's season was cut short with a reported Achilles tear. We believe that will prevent him from being drafted. As much as we LOVE Jaylen Clark as a player and a prospect, our rule has always been, "don't draft a hurt guy".

Our best advice: in 2005, the 13th pick was Sean May, we advised, "Draft Danny Granger."
