Clifford is a 23 year-old wing that some see as a THREE. We think he is a TWO. He measured 6'5" with a 6'8" wingspan which is a just a bit smaller than the average THREE man on a winning team in the NBA. He averaged 18.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He was First Team All Mountain West. He shot 37.7% 3-pt. FG, and 77.7% FT. He had a 1.72-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio which speaks to the smart brand of ball he plays. Clifford is a defensive difference maker. His DEFRTG was 4.6 points better (that's a BIG number) than the Rams team DEFRTG. He is particularly adept on the defensive glass, where he ranked second in the entire NCAA in total D-rebs. Right handed. He led the MWC in boxscore plus/minus this season, and he is the CAREER leader in Mountain West Conference boxscore plus/minus. We think Clifford will be drafted in the middle of round one. We view him as a potential top-tier TWO guard in the NBA.
