Clingan was a key cog in two NCAA National Championships for Connecticut. He averaged 13 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots in 2023-24. He shot 63.9% FG but he struggles at the free throw line, making just 55.8% FT (career). The right-handed, Clingan's standing reach is 9'7". Combine his height with good timing and you have a premier shot blocker. His DEFRTG was a whopping 8.4 points better than the U-Conn team DEFRTG. An underrated part of Clingan's game is his passing. He posted a terrific 1.89-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio as a sophomore. He led the Big East in boxscore plus/minus, and he finished second in the entire NCAA in that same category. ...Clingan seems destined to be picked in the first half of the lottery. We view him as a potential top-tier starting Center in the NBA. Our one concern is Clingan's huge frame and what it might look like in three or four years. He tested as the second slowest player in the lane agility drill at the NBA Draft Combine and he finished last in the 3/4-court sprint. He is going to have to work extremely hard to stay in NBA shape. That said, Clingan runs the floor well and he finishes plays on both ends of the floor. See video
