Collins, Zach Gonzaga  7'0" 232 C frosh. Collins is an athletic BIG that was a key to Gonzaga's success in 2016-17. Playing just 17.2 minutes per game, Collins averaged 10 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocked shots per game. His per-minute efficiency was the highest in our college database this season. Collins connected on 65% of his field goal attempts. He can stretch the floor too, although not at a high volume at this point in his career. This season, Collins made 10 of his 21 three-point attempts (47%). He makes his free throws at a 74% clip. Defensively, Collins has the ability to block shots due to his length, timing, and athleticism. His defensive rating is 7.0 points better than the Zags team DEFRTG. That is impressive. Collins' standing reach is 9'3" (same as Nikola Jokic and Eddy Curry). ...As a prep: Collins was a McDonald's All-American that was Nevada State Player of the Year in 2015-16. ...Collins defensive quickness was noticeable to anyone who watched Zags games this season. We expect him to be taken in the back part of the lottery but we would not be surprised if Collins winds up being one of the top five players of this draft when the history books are written.

Good advice: In 2014 the 5th pick in the NBA Draft was Dante Exum. We advised, "Draft Marcus Smart."
