Cooper, Sharife Auburn 6'1" 180 PG frosh.

Cooper is a pass-first Point Guard that can "pass teammates open". He averaged 20.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game in just 25 minutes per outing. He is exceptional at running  screen & rolls. He can use either hand well. ...Cooper struggled from beyond the college arc (13 of 57, 22%). However, his 82% free throw shooting offers hope. He only appeared in 12 games in 2020-21 (eligibility issues, and then an ankle injury). In the those games, Auburn was decidedly (-5.8 points per 100 possessions) worse on defense. That fact is a negative that must be considered when evaluating such a powder-keg of an offensive player. ...Cooper's sister, Te'a plays in the WNBA. Sharife Cooper is 20 years old, a year older than his freshman class standing. ...We believe Cooper is clearly the best offensive Point Guard in this draft. His commitment to defense will have to improve. ...We expect Cooper to be drafted in the middle of the first round.

Our best advice: in 2011, the 14th pick was Marcus Morris. We advised, "draft Kawhi Leonard."
