Coulibaly is a speedy, versatile young player that we think has a chance to be a good NBA starter in the future. The 18 year-old with long legs and long arms was given a chance to play meaningful minutes after an injury to a teammate. He has shown that he can more than hold his own playing against grown men in the French Jeep Elite League. This season Coulibaly is shooting 53% FG, 34% from 3-pt. range, and 71% FT. He averages 11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He is good driving to the hoop, using long strides and Euro-step maneuvers to get to the basket. Right-handed. His DEFRTG is a crazy 12.3 points per 100 possessions better than his team's DEFRTG. He can get tunnel-vision on his forays to the hoop. Coulibaly had slightly more turnovers than assists in 2022-23 but the prior season that was reversed. We think he can guard positions one to three. ...Coulibaly may need some time to become more seasoned at playing effective TEAM offense but his overall skill level and youth override any serious concerns. We think Coulibaly will be taken late in round one. We like him better than that.

Our best advice: in 2017, the 8th pick was Frank Ntilikina. We advised, "draft Malik Monk."
