Council, Ricky IV

After two seasons at Wichita State, Council transferred to Arkansas for 2022-23. He scored 16 points per game. He is a gifted shot-creator but his deep shooting is sketchy (30% career 3-pt. FG). However, Council does have some touch, as proven by his 78.6% FT (career). He gets to the line often due to his ball-handling skill and aggression looking to score. Council led the SEC in free throws made. In our opinion, his deep shot form needs re-working. He shoots it with a push/hitch motion. ...He uses his off-hand well and is not afraid to use the left when finishing. …Arkansas was much better defensively with Council off the floor (4.9 points per 100 possessions). Council showed some progress in his decision making with more assists than turnovers for the first time in three seasons. ...We believe Council will be taken in the early-to-mid second round. ...Ultimately, we would let someone else try to develop him. His shortcomings on defense combined with the low percentage deep shooting just do not separate him in positive way among the deep pool of NBA and G-League wings.

Our best advice: in 2021, Austin Reaves went undrafted. We had him ranked 32nd.
