Duarte, Chris  Oregon  6'6" 190 SF SR.

Duarte is a fiery competitor that averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game in 2021-21. He shot 42.4% from beyond the college arc. He is an 81% free throw shooter. Duarte was named First Team All-Pac 12, as well as First Team All-Defense in the conference. He had more assists than turnovers. Duarte finished tenth in the entire NCAA in boxscore plus/minus.  …We view Duarte as a guy that is capable of being a NBA starter. The "knock" on Duarte is that he is already 24 years old. ...We say, "so-what". He can play. He is among the best cutters we've seen in recent years. He was one of only two players in Division I to average 17.0 points and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. He won the 2021 Jerry West Award (given to the nation's premier college shooting guard). Duarte is from the Dominican Republic. ...We anticipate Duarte being drafted in the top-20. We won't be surprised if he emerges as a player a team wished they would have selected.

Our best advice: in 2017, the 15th pick was Justin Jackson. We advised, "draft John Collins."
