Eason, Tari LSU 6'8" 217 PF soph.

Eason was a favorite of ours throughout the 2021-22 college season. He is a RAW forward that can help a team WIN with his play on both ends of the court.  He averaged 16.9 points, and 6.6 rebounds as a sophomore. He shot a passable 35.9% from beyond the college arc, and a rock solid 80.3% from the free throw line. Defensively, Eason stands out with his 7'2" wingspan. He is an NBA athlete without question. His rugged, wild-abandon style was often eye-popping. He has big hands (biggest measured at the 2022 NBA Draft Combine). LSU was 6.3 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Eason on the court. ...Right handed. Eason's decision making is a work in progress. He had more than twice as many turnovers as assists. ...We expect Eason to be selected in the teens of the 2022 NBA Draft. We think that is too low. Eason was just one of those players we had a special feeling about while watching him play. With NBA coaching and development, we think he could be as special as just about anyone in this draft. Certainly, it may take him longer to get there due to his lack of feel for TEAM offense. However, if he hits, and offense starts to crystallize for him, look out, because he can do everything else.

Our best advice: in 2020, the 9th pick was Deni Avdija. We advised, "draft Tyrese Haliburton."
