Flynn, Malachi San Diego St. 6'2" 180 PG SR.

Flynn is an alert Point Guard that averaged 17.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game for a very good San Diego St. team. Watching him play, it is clear that he "gets it" from a TEAM perspective. His 2.84-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is very good. When he plays with NBA shooters, we would expect his assist-to-turnover ratio to be elite. Flynn was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, and the Defensive Player of the Year. ...He uses the hesitation dribble very well. Right handed but uses his left with ease. ...He led the MWC in assists and steals per game. Flynn led the MWC in boxscore plus/minus, and he was sixth in the entire NCAA in that statistical category. …Flynn started his NCAA career at Washington St., playing there as a freshman and sophomore.  …He sat out 2018-19 after the transfer. He shot 37.3% from beyond the college arc in 2019-20. He made 85.7% FT. ...We expect Flynn to be drafted in the early-to-mid second round.

Our best advice: in 2012, the 33rd pick was Bernard James. We advised, "draft Draymond Green."
