Freeman is a stretch four that rebounds the ball and defends at a high rate. He has the "motor" that teams covet. Freeman's DEFRTG was a whopping 7.3 points better than his Akron team's DEFRTG. He averaged 18.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocked shots per game in 2023-24. His rebounding average was good enough to lead the NCAA. He shot 37% 3-pt FG, and 72.8% FT. He was the MAC Player of the Year. Freeman is the MAC all-time leader in True Shooting Percentage, and he led the conference this season in boxscore plus/minus. Freeman has the ability to score one-on-one or as a spot-shooter. His right handed half hook is money. He has a 7'2" wingspan. He gets to the foul line with regularity (led the MAC in FTA's). He is a smart young man that originally enrolled at Akron on an academic scholarship. The area he needs to improve is his decision making and sharing. He had more turnovers than assists. The sharing should come easier playing with NBA teammates. Freeman is a classic case of a late-bloomer (he was a walk-on at Akron as a freshman). That he played at Akron and was not a highly touted or recruited guy is being held against him. Also, he will be 24 years-old when the NBA season begins. ...Freeman may not be drafted. We think not only should he be drafted, he should probably go in the 20's. We would advise any NBA team to target him and get into a position to draft him. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2003, the 39th pick was Slavko Vranes. We advised, "draft Kyle Korver."
