Furphy averaged 9.0 points, and 4.9 rebounds as a freshman. He shot 35.2% 3-pt. FG, and 76.5% FT. He had slightly more assists than turnovers. His DEFRTG was slightly worse than the Kansas team DEFRTG. Furphy is 6'8" but he has only a 6'8" wingspan. So, despite his height suggesting otherwise, we view him as a two-guard. He jumped a very below-average 32" max. vert. at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. He is right-handed. We think Furphy will go in the 20's in this Draft. We view him as a potential mid-tier wing in the NBA which means we think a first round selection is too high. (see video)
