Giles, Harry Duke 6'11" 232 C frosh. Harry Giles freshman season at Duke is not the basis on which to judge his game. He missed time at the beginning of the year due to an arthroscopic surgery. Giles has two career ACL tears in his past. The last one happened at the start of his Senior year of high school (2015). He played only 300 minutes total this season. He shot 57% FG. Giles did not attempt any three-point shots and his free throw percentage was just 50%. In all the free throw attempts we can find for his career in FIBA and NCAA we find that he hits 57% FT. He coughed up two turnovers for every one assist. Defensively, Giles may one day be good but at Duke, the team was 1.2 points per 100 possessions better with him off the floor. Giles' standing reach is 9' 1.5" (same as Andre Drummond and Enes Kanter.)  Giles' max. vert. was 32.5" (same as Meyers Leonard, and Darko Milicic.) ...The Giles that NBA teams want to see is the kid that helped USA Basketball win gold medals in U-17, and U-19 competition. ...We would expect Giles to be selected in the top-20. The injury history is troublesome. Giles is a tremendous rebounder and should he stay injury free, and learn to consistently make outside shots he might be an NBA starting Center someday. But the "ifs" are a bit too plentiful for our taste. The landscape is ripe with BIGs who can do what Giles does.

Good advice: In 2012, the 27th pick in the NBA Draft was Arnett Moultrie. We advised, "Draft Draymond Green."
