Griffin, AJ  Duke  6'6" 222 SF frosh.

Griffin averaged 10.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in his freshman season at Duke. He shot the ball extremely well from three-point range (44.7% 3-pt FG). He made 79.2% of his foul shots. He had a 1.52-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Griffin finished sixth in ACC boxscore plus/minus. ...His DEFRTG however was 3.2 points worse than the Duke team DEFRTG. Griffin is right-handed. He is the son of Adrian Griffin, a former NBA player who is now an NBA assistant coach. ...AJ Griffin is a player that we think can be a low-tier starter at some point in the NBA. In his junior year of high school he suffered a dislocated left knee that eventually cost him the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. Prior to his start at Duke he sprained his right knee (October 2021) He seems destined to go in the late lottery. There were multiple games at Duke where it was easy to forget he was even on the court. But in many respects you can't blame Griffin. He was returning from a sprained knee. He has a reported 7'2" wingspan and he can shoot it.

Our best advice: in 2015, the 21st pick was Justin Anderson. We advised, "draft Bobby Portis."
