Haliburton, Tyrese Iowa St. 6'5" 175 PG Soph.

Haliburton has a real feel for the game. He is fun to watch in transition. He is a skinny, long, 6'5" Point Guard that hit 43% (career) from the beyond the college arc. He averaged 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in 2019-20. He shot 82.2% from the free throw line. ...By NBA standards, his running and jumping ability are below average. He is a high IQ kid that seems to have a counter for most things thrown at him. His 2.79-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is impressive. We expect that will rise as he plays with NBA athletes and shooters as teammates. ...Haliburton's defensive rating was a full 5 points better than the Iowa State team DEFRTG. He has a long wingspan. (We would love to see a verified measurement. Some say 6'8", others 7'0"). ...He has a consistent floater that seems to be a favorite shot. ...Has the ability to make good decisions out of the pick-n-roll. Right handed. Haliburton is fifth in career Big 12 boxscore plus/minus. ...We believe he will be selected either sixth or seventh overall.

Our best advice: in 2014, the 5th pick was Dante Exum. We advised, "draft Marcus Smart."
