Hardy is a quick-twitch athlete that spent the season playing with the G-League Ignite team. He has excellent ball-handling skill and he can create his own shot. At this stage, Hardy is a low percentage shooter from three-point range (28.5% 3-pt FG). However, he does have a soft shooting touch and we think that with better shot selection he will become a good deep shooter. He has deep range and his shot is pretty. Hardy shot 76.3% FT on the full season. He had slightly more turnovers than assists, again pointing to his raw, inexperienced game. Hardy is a year older than his perceived standing as a first year player. He will turn 20 years old in July. Right handed. We thought he held his own defensively. He has a 6'9" wingspan according to reports. We believe a team will roll the dice on Hardy somewhere in the mid to late first round. Patience will be needed. He was the Nevada state Gatorade Player of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. We anticipate his path will be similar to Anfernee Simons. The wait and continued development may yield a special player.
