Harper, Ron Jr.  Rutgers  6'6" 240 SF SR.

Harper Jr. averaged 15.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1 steal per game in 2021-22. He shot 39.8% 3-pt FG, and 79.5% FT. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 1.17-to-1. He was named Second Team All Big Ten. Harper Jr. showed a knack for making timely baskets. He has good hands, and he is long. Wingspan is 7'1.25". Defensively, he is willing to take a charge but Rutgers was better (by the numbers) with Harper off the floor. …At the NBA Draft Combine, Harper jumped a max. vert of 30.5". His 3/4-court sprint time was the seventh slowest among all timed. Even though he lost some weight prior to the Combine, he still had 14.3% body fat, and he's never been in NBA shape at any point of his college career. ...Harper is a loyal kid that, unlike many of his peers, played for just one AAU team, one high school team, and one college team. We doubt Harper Jr. gets drafted. He will have to prove that he is serious about getting himself in NBA shape. If he does that, we think he can play in the league as a reserve small forward.

Our best advice: in 2018, the 9th pick was Kevin Knox. We advised, "draft Mikal Bridges."
