Hauser, Sam Virginia 6'7" 217 SF SR.

Hauser is a sweet-shooting forward that averaged 16.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 2020-21. He was named First Team All-ACC. For his NCAA career, he shot 43% 3-pt fg. This season, he made 89% of his free throws. ...He is a year older than his draft class (already 23 y.o). He played three seasons at Marquette before a transfer and red-shirt year in 2019-20 at Virginia. …Hauser knows how to play. His 1.97-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is Point Guard-like. He was second in the ACC in boxscore plus/minus. ...Defensively, Hauser was a "minus" at Virginia. His DEFRTG was 1.6 points worse than the Virginia team DEFRTG. ...We do not think Hauser will be drafted. We believe he WILL prove himself to be an NBA player. He is too good a shooter and too smart a player to just be ignored.

Our best advice: in 2020, the 59th pick was Jalen Harris. We advised, "draft Mason Jones."
