Hicks was a key contributor to the Tar Heels 2016-17 NCAA Championship. He is an athletic BIG that has upside still due to his athletic gifts. Hicks raised his scoring average with each season at UNC. He also improved as a shooter, raising his free throw percentage with each season. As a freshman he shot a woeful 57.9% FT and by his Senior season he was hitting 77.9% FT.  He finished as a Senior with averages of 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. ...Unfortunately, Hicks was often in foul trouble. The Heels were actually better defensively with Hicks off the floor. His standing reach is 8'9" (same as Johnny O'Bryant.) ...Hicks is a good athlete with a 37" max. vert. (same as Willie Cauley-Stein.) ...We think Hicks may be drafted in the late second round which sounds about right.
