Holmes, DaRon II

Holmes is a right-handed, sophomore Center that averaged 18.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He has a two-season career block shot average of 2.1 per game. He was the Atlantic 10 Tournament MVP in March. Holmes led the A-10 in boxscore plus/minus. …Holmes does a great job of drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. ...On the down-side, Holmes had more turnovers than assists both seasons at Dayton, and he is not a good deep shooter (7 of 26, 26.9% from three-point range in two seasons). Likewise, he struggles at the foul line making just 66.9% in 2022-23. We think Holmes will be drafted in the back half of the second round. We view him as a possible backup pivot in the NBA. Overall, we would pass on Holmes as a draft pick worthy prospect. Should he go undrafted, we would have interest.

Our best advice: in 2022, Dominick Barlow went undrafted. We had him ranked 39th.
