Jackson, Jaren Jr. Michigan St. 6'11" 236 PF frosh Jackson is one of the most impressive defensive prospects we have seen in recent years. The Spartans were 8.2 points per 100 possessions better defensively with him on the floor. He has big hands, and a 7'5.25" wingspan. ...He is the son of former NBA player Jaren Jackson. ...Jackson is not just a defender. He can knock down three-point shots at a 39% clip. He averaged 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots per game. He shot 79% FT in his lone season of NCAA play. ...His assertiveness will come into question. He can disappear on offense for stretches. That written, there simply are not many players with his gifts and his upside. ...Jackson was a third or fourth option in Michigan State's offense, deferring to older players, Miles Bridges and Nick Ward. It is curious that Jackson did not seem to have the trust of Tom Izzo. Jackson only played 15 minutes in the final game (an NCAA Tourney loss). ...Jackson is a prospect that has as high a ceiling as any player in this Draft.
