Johnson, Jalen  Duke  6'9" 220 PF frosh.

Johnson averaged 11.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 blocked shots in his truncated season at Duke. He has NBA athleticism and the skill to "rebound and go!" Johnson played in just 13 games before suffering a foot injury. Once cleared to play, Johnson "opted out" to prepare for the NBA Draft. He was only playing 21.4 minutes per game. He shot 44% from three-point range (but on low volume, 8 of 18). He made just 63% of his free throws. Johnson is right handed. He was outstanding as a defender. Duke wound up 6.5 points per 100 possessions better defensively when Johnson was in the game. ...Obviously, I would want to talk with Johnson and try to gain a feel for his personality. He changed high schools in the middle of his Senior year. He basically didn't honor his commitment to Duke. How selfish is he? From a talent standpoint, I think he's among the top three in this Draft but I am concerned about him as a teammate.

Our best advice: in 2011, the 4th pick was Tristan Thompson. We advised, "draft Kawhi Leonard."
