Johnson is an athletic forward with big hands that is getting better as a shooter. Johnson averaged 11.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 2023-24. He shot a career best 38% 3-pt FG on moderate volume. At the foul line he was 71% (also a career best). Johnson had slightly more assists than turnovers. He is a lob-threat that will finish well above the rim. He finished fifth in Pac-12 boxscore plus/minus but his DEFRTG was 1.2 points worse than the Wildcats team DEFRTG. Johnson had a 42" max. vert. at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. He played four seasons at San Diego St. before finishing off his NCAA career at Arizona. Johnson has a 6'10" wingspan. We believe Johnson will be selected late in round two. We view him as a potential low-tier starter at some point in his NBA career. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2003, the 44th pick was Malick Badiane. We advised, "draft Kyle Korver."
