Johnson's story is pretty amazing. In December, 2020, Johnson, playing for Florida, collapsed on the court in a game at Florida State. He was in critical condition in a medically induced coma for three days. Johnson says "it was a freak thing" but it took time for doctor's to clear him to return to action. He did so, in 2022-23 at Kansas St. Johnson showed a real feel for making timely cuts and finishing. He is a big strong kid that plays at his own pace. He led the Big 12 in effective field goal percentage (56.8% EFG). He benefitted from playing with Marquis Nowell, an excellent passer. Johnson averaged 17.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He shot 40.5% 3-pt. FG, and 71.5% FT. He was named First Team All Big-12. He is an excellent defensive rebounder for his size, and he does a good job drawing fouls. Right handed. On the negative side, Johnson never had a season with more assists than turnovers. Johnson will be 23 years old by the time the 2023 NBA Draft rolls around. We expect Johnson to be drafted in the second round. We view him as a potential reserve under-sized four-man in the NBA.

Our best advice: in 2019, The 42nd pick was Admiral Schofield. We advised, "take Bol Bol."
