Jovic, Nikola  Mega Basket  6'11" 222 SF 6/9/03

Jovic is a right handed, Serbian wing with a narrow frame. He is 6'11" but moves like a small forward. He has played professionally for three seasons. This season, he played in the Adriatic League. He averaged 12 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. His assist-to-turnover ratio was 1.16-to-1. Jovic shot 35.6% 3-pt FG, and 75.4% FT. Jovic was named the Top Prospect in the Adriatic. He has shown flashes of special ability, especially for a kid who just turned 19 years old. He made the all-tournament team at the 2021 U19 World Cup. He can "dance with the ball" and create his own shot. He has a knack for making timely shots. ...Defensively, Jovic has a ways to go. Like most young prospects, he needs to gain strength. His DEFRTG was 2.3 points per 100 possessions worse than his team's DEFRTG. ...We think Jovic will be drafted in the mid-to-late first round. His offensive upside gives him a chance.

Our best advice: in 2003, the 39th pick was Slavko Vranes. We advised, "draft Kyle Korver."
