Johnson, Keon Tennessee 6'4" 184 SG frosh.

Johnson is a hyper-athletic, right-handed wing that broke the NBA Combine record for max. vertical leap with a jaw-dropping 48" jump. He is destined to excite crowds with acrobatic dunks. ...Johnson averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in 2020-21. Johnson struggled from three-point range, making 13 of 48 (27%). He had more turnovers than assists. ...Known as a good defender, that is willing to take a charge. ...The Vols were 1.8 points per 100 possessions better defensively when Johnson was OFF the floor. ...We feel like any team that drafts Keon Johnson is going to have to be very patient. Despite his explosive leaping ability, we are surprised he's viewed as a lottery pick. He just wasn't efficient in his lone season at Tennessee. The landscape of guards in the NBA requires much more than elite running and jumping skill. That stated, Johnson has a high ceiling.

Our best advice: in 2005, the 35th pick was Ricky Sanchez. We advised, "draft Ersan Ilyasova."
