Knecht averaged 21.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 2023-24. He shot 39.7% 3-pt. FG, and 77.2% FT. He was the SEC Player of the Year. He is a scorer first. Right handed but uses his left well. Knecht uses his athletic ability (39" max. vert.) and his aggression to get buckets. He finished third in SEC boxscore plus/minus. Knecht does a good job putting pressure on defenses. He gets to the foul line often. Knecht measured with a 6'9" wingspan at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. Despite his length, he was a minus defender to the point of near liability. The Vols were 3.4 points per 100 possessions better on defense with Knecht on the bench. Knecht played his first two college seasons at a JUCO. Two years at Northern Colorado followed before closing out his collegiate career at Tennessee. He is known as a gym rat that loves the game. Knecht is 23 years-old. He is a late-bloomer that stood 5'4" as a high school freshman. We view him as a potential mid-tier starting two-guard in the NBA. We believe he will be taken in the mid-to-late lottery. (see video)

Our best advice: in 2024, the 15th pick was Kobe Bufkin. We advised, "draft Cam Whitmore."
