Knueppel is one of the most complete young players to come along in recent memory. His skill level is high in multiple aspects. He averaged 14.4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists as a Duke freshman. He can REALLY shoot with accuracy (40.6% 3-pt. FG, 91.4% FT). The downside is that Knueppel's DEFRTG was 3.8 points worse than the Duke team DEFRTG. Knueppel measured 6'5" with a 6'6" wingspan, which puts him more in the Point Guard pool than the NBA wing pool. He posted a 2.01-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Right handed. We believe Knueppel will be selected mid-lottery. Due to his limitations on defense, we are not quite as high on him as others. We do acknowledge his considerable skill level, and we appreciate how he plays. He was the ACC Tournament MVP. He finished second in ACC boxscore plus/minus. We view him as a potential low tier starter that will most likely be targeted as someone to "go at" by NBA opponents.
