Lanier is a 23-year-old that has a sweet jump shot and positional size. He is a specialist. Lanier averaged 18 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He shot 39.5% 3-pt. FG, and 75.8% FT. This season, he had more turnovers than assists but his career assist-to-turnover is slightly positive. Right handed with good athleticism, Lanier jumped a 39" max. vert. at the NBA Draft Combine. His DEFRTG was 5 points worse than the Tennessee team DEFRTG. That is a BIG number. Lanier played four seasons at North Florida before finishing up his NCAA career at Tennessee. Lanier will likely be taken early in round two. We think Lanier may get lost in the DEEP landscape of two-guards in the NBA. We view him as a probable G-League player.
