Lofton, Kenneth Jr.  Louisiana Tech 6'7" 280 C soph.

Lofton Jr. is BIG kid that moves with grace and agility that belies his size. He is not in NBA shape (15.2% body fat) but he uses his girth to his advantage. A lefty, Lofton averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocked shots per game as a sophomore. He was named First Team All Conference USA. He is a low percentage deep shooter (20% 3-pt FG, on low volume, 4 of 20). His free throw percentage is 67.2%. Lofton was second in C-USA boxscore plus/minus. His DEFRTG was significantly better (7.5 pts. per 100 possessions) than the Louisiana Tech team DEFRTG. Lofton has big hands and a 6'11" wingspan. ...Lofton was a part of the Gold Medal winning Team USA U19 squad that went undefeated at the World Cup in 2021. ...We are not sure that Lofton will be drafted. We do think he can play in the NBA. He is efficient, he rebounds like a champion, and his personality makes him a great teammate.

Our best advice: in 2017, the 40th pick was Dwayne Bacon. We advised, "draft Thomas Bryant."
