Lucas (de Paula), George Brazil 6'6" 197 PG 5/24/1996 Among the more freakishly built guards we have come across in 19 years of scouting, George DePaula has upside. DePaula stands 6'6" but somehow he has a 7'0" wingspan. He has huge hands too (measured as the second longest at the NBA Draft Combine 2015), The long arms make him a potential disruptor defensively. DePaula is not particularly explosive. He measured with a 34" max. vert. In all the numbers we can dig up for him, he shoots 75% FT. ...A lefty, DePaula can really handle the ball well and his decision making is improving. DePaula's assist-to-turnover ratio this season is 1.97-to-1. It may take a couple seasons before we see what DePaula is truly capable of. But we know THIS; combo-guards with seven foot wingspans that can handle do not come around often. An investment seems justified to us. Good advice: 2017 NBA All-Stars: where they were taken in the NBA Draft vs. where we had players ranked.
