Mannion, Nico

frosh.

Mannion is a right handed point guard that was asked to carry Arizona as a freshman. His season was a bit of a struggle. Mannion averaged 14 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. He shot 39%FG, and 32.7% from beyond the college arc. He was at 79.7% FT when the season abruptly ended. Mannion has a true point guard feel, with a better than two-to-one assist-to-turnover ratio. He throws zip passes that benefit his teammates. ...Arizona was decidedly better defensively with Mannion OFF the floor (5 points per 100 possessions). Mannion was not blessed with great length. His wingspan is shorter than his height. ...We expect Mannion to be selected early in the second round. ...Nico is the son of former NBA player, Pace Mannion.

Good advice... In 2008, the 3rd pick was O.J. Mayo. We advised, "draft Kevin Love."
