Maten was the 2017-18 SEC Player of the Year. He is hybrid BIG that averaged 19.3 points, and 8.6 rebounds per game as a Senior. He made 40% 3-pt. (career), and he shot 80% FT in 2017-18. ...Right handed. …Maten's defense is nothing special. His team actually had a better DEFRTG with him off the floor. Likewise, his decision making is questionable. He had more turnovers than assists. Maten played heavy minutes (34.3 per game) and his totals are inflated because of that. ...Offensively, Maten checks a lot of boxes. He is solid, sound, and safe as a second round pick. In time, we think he can be a top tier backup PF in the NBA.
