Mathurin, Bennedict Arizona 6'6" 204 SF soph.

Mathurin is a high-flying wing that averaged 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in 2021-22. He was the Pac 12 Player of the Year and the MVP of the Pac 12 Tournament. He is an incredibly well-conditioned athlete that has special ability as a runner and a jumper. He will throw down spectacular dunks with power. He shot 38.3% from three-point range in his two seasons at Arizona. 78.9% FT. (career). He improved as a decision maker this season, posting a 1.42-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Rt. Handed but can use his left effectively. Wingspan is 6'9". Mathurin finished 6th in Pac 12 boxscore plus/minus. He was 2nd in total minutes played among Pac 12 players. Defensively, Arizona was actually better (by the numbers) when Mathurin was off the floor. …We expect Mathurin to be selected among the top ten picks. His ceiling is higher than most in this Draft. We believe NBA coaching will continue to make him a more sound player that gambles less on defense.

Our best advice: in 2011, the 10th pick was Jimmer Fredette. We advised, "draft Kawhi Leonard."
