McCain is a 20 year old, quick processing, sweet-shooting guard. As a freshman at Duke in 2023-24 he averaged 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. McCain has deep range and he made 41.4% of his three-point attempts. He made 88.5% of his free throws. He had a 1.44-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. McCain finished tenth in ACC boxscore plus/minus. He is right handed but he uses his left very well. His DEFRTG was 2 points worse than the Duke team DEFRTG. McCain impressed us each time we saw him play. His skill level is VERY HIGH. His 6'4" wingspan and average athleticism (33" max. vert.) will be tested and picked on in the NBA. We expect McCain will be drafted at the end of the lottery. We view him as a potential mid-to-top tier reserve in the NBA. (see video)
