Miller, Leonard

Miller is just 19 years-old. He has the combination of NBA athleticism and size that gives him a chance to excel in ways that others his age simply cannot. He has big hands, and a 7'2" wingspan. Miller has a 37.5" max. vert.  The Ignite were 3.8 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Miller on the floor. He averaged 16.8 points, and and 10.1 rebounds per game. Miller shot just 30.8% from three-point range. However, his 79.2% FT shooting leads us to believe his poor three point percentage is more about shot selection than a guy with no touch. He is excellent as a transition finisher and he showed improvement in his overall game within the season for the Ignite. He did have more turnovers than assists. Miller played in the 2022 Nike Hoop Summit. Usually, a low-percentage shooter with a limited feel just doesn't work. Because of his defensive upside, and youth, we think Miller is worth a swing at some point.  We expect Miller to be drafted in the mid-to-late first round.

Our best advice: in 2011, the 8th pick was Brandon Knight, we advised, "Draft Kawhi Leonard."
