Evan Mobley is a nimble, skinny, right handed BIG. He accomplished some pretty incredible feats in his one season at USC. He was the Pac-12 Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. He led the Pac-12 in rebounding, blocked shots, points scored, field goal percentage (57.8%), free throw attempts, minutes played, offensive rating and defensive rating! He led the NCAA in boxscore plus/minus. Mobley averaged 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.9 blocked shots per game. He attempted 40 three-point shots, and made a dozen (30%). He shot 69.4% FT. ...Mobley is an experienced player that played for USA Basketball on the Gold Medal winning U19 and U17 teams. ...He won the California High School Player of the Year award twice (the only other player to do that is Jrue Holiday). ...As good as Mobley was in college, the Pac-12 or any NCAA opponent is not near the caliber of BIG's in the NBA. We think Mobley is likely to succeed but it may take some time for him to gain strength to mix it up with NBA guys. If he is strictly a Center we like him less than if he can legitimately stretch the floor and play as a tall FOUR.    ...We believe Mobley will be the second pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. We rate him third (behind Suggs, and Cunningham).
